NEWNAN, Ga. — A Newnan woman was arrested Saturday after toxicology reports revealed a “rather high” amount of methamphetamine in the body of her 4- month- old’ child, authorities said. Jasmen Nicole Hazelrigs’ two surviving children — ages 2 and 4 — allegedly tested positive for the drug as well. Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Col. James Yarbrough said deputies initially responded to a 9. Hazelrigs’ Crawford Circle home in Newnan on the morning of Sept. Roommates had made repeated attempts to wake Hazelrigs by banging on her bedroom door before entering the room to find the dead infant, Yarbrough said. Smith and charged her with felony chemical endangerment of a child. Bruner said the charge stemmed from hospital officials notifying officials with the Geneva County Department of Human Resources who notified the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office. Friday after falsely reporting a homicide and then driving off in a deputy’s cruiser. According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, Thursday afternoon Loralyn Boudreaux, of Thibodaux, approached deputies in the 1. Waverly Road while they were on an unrelated call and began screaming that a homicide had just occurred at a home nearby. She told the deputies that the victim and the suspect were both inside the home. When the deputies went inside the home to investigate, Boudreaux hopped into a Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office patrol car and sped off from the scene.“Deputies tracked the vehicle to a residence on Asphondel Drive in Thibodaux approximately 1. Waverly Road residence. Upon arrival to Asphondel Drive, deputies discovered Boudreaux had abandoned the patrol car and was involved in a verbal altercation with a male subject outside the residence. While attempting to apprehend Boudreaux, she began resisting, and at one point, she struck a deputy in the face with her fist,” said a statement from the sheriff’s office.
